Amanda Crossfield

NFM Programme Manager

Amanda joined the team in March 2023 having spent the previous decade as Climate Adaptation Manager at Yorkshire Water. Amanda has a watery background having studied Applied Marine Biology at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh followed by an MSc in Estuarine and Coastal Science and Management at the University of Hull. She has extensive experience in climate risk management including flooding, droughts and wildfire. She has a passion for working in partnership to protect, enhance and restore both nature, and our people and communities. Amanda is a keen SCUBA diver and regularly braves the cold waters of the North Sea to play in the kelp forests with seals. She also loves music and dancing and helps run a bicycle-powered soundsystem which puts on regular events in Leeds and at festivals across the UK.
