Amanda joined Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust in 2023 having spent the previous decade as Climate Adaptation Manager at Yorkshire Water. Amanda studied Applied Marine Biology at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh followed by an MSc in Estuarine and Coastal Science and Management at the University of Hull.
Amanda has extensive experience in climate risk management including flooding, droughts and wildfire. She has a passion for working in partnership to protect, enhance and restore nature for people and communities.
Amanda loves music and dancing and helps run a bicycle-powered soundsystem which puts on regular events in Leeds and at festivals across the UK. She also keeps a small flock of rescue chickens which she is very fond of.
