Tim joined Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust in 2021 to lead the Tees-Swale metal mines project as part of the ‘Tees-Swale naturally connected’ programme. As well as his expertise in diffuse metal pollution, Tim also brings a further 10 years experience gained within the Rivers Trust movement from leading a wide range of river and catchment projects including fish passage, water quality, wetlands and habitat creation and improvement.
Tim has an MSci in Chemistry from Durham University and worked as a research chemist for nearly a decade before leaving to follow his passion for freshwater habitats. He studied for an MSc in Aquatic Resource Management at King’s College London before joining the Rivers Trust world.
Outside of work Tim enjoys riding his bike, walking, woodworking and family time with his wife and daughter.
