Jamie has been a Trustee of the Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust since 2015 and has been Chair for the past two years. Jamie has a strong connection with Dales rivers, having spent much of his life next to (and in) the River Wharfe, which flows through his family farm. As an avid conservationist, wild swimmer and riparian landowner, Jamie is committed to YDRT and its work.

Before returning to manage his family estate in Upper Wharfedale, Jamie worked for more than 20 years in tourism, conservation and publishing, both in the UK and overseas in Nepal and on St Helena. His experience includes senior leadership and development roles at Buglife and the National Trust. Jamie is also passionate about sustainability – the estate generates all its own energy – and restoring the natural environment of the Dales.
